What to do about tires rubbing on rear?

Hey guys......ever since I've gotten a bigger rim and wider one too......my tires in the rear hit the inner edges of the wheel weld and I'm scheduled to have them shaved off so the tires won't rub......but I wanted to know if some one with this similar problem has found a different solution.......HELP ME!

you can roll the rear fender or add strut spacer.

Do u have springs, stiffer springs will lessen the rubbing. Yeah and rolling the fenders will help or maybe get rid of it completely.

if u are running on stock springs and struts for now then go to ur local auto parts place and ask for those spring adjustment pucks that u put on the springs to make it alittle stiffer and raise ur rear alittle bit... usually made out of rubber... its like a hockey puck kinda thing... Nascar use it to adjust springs rate...

whats the danger? in my opinion this is the best way to get rid of them as opposed to rolling them.

well I have the spacers that look like clamps already.....I think my car came lowered already....so the springs are fine and shocks too but the wheel weld inside is just scraping the fuck out of my rims and tires.......I'm probably just gonna shave them cuz my car is high already with the spacers......

Yes i found a place to rent it from. You get three days to do it for $50 + shipping. Does anyone wanna do a group thing? Since its three days we might as well take advantage of it and pay less for rental. That is if u guys are in the LA area... If anyone has a heat gun then it'll be even easier!

roll it, dont shave it i agree. my 04 has 245's in the rear...you should see my rear tires. they looked like i got a cheese grater on them. but then again they are nitto 555's...just roll em. why would you space them? this would push the tire out and then the inner part of the tire would rub the fender.

shave/cut them...trust me...rolling the fender just cracks the paint and asks for spider cracking of it later on if not right away. i cut mine and it's work fine.

I wish I had one of these. I heard that Tire Rack used to give them away with a set of tires or something like that! Damn, I wish I would have been able to get one from them.
