i won't be posting any files, because my stuff is all purchased...but Tiesto is good, as is Armin Van Buuren, DJ Doboy, Dj Pauly, and quite a few others.

Vamp would be a better source for trance, though...heh

Oakenfold can really attract big huge crowd... I really like digweed a little bit more though.. I prefer more bass in my tunes. I went to The village new years eve party last new years in LA and watched oakenfold spin. It was definately a great new years party !! http://www.vzwpix.com/mi/18212051_66340727_0.jpeg? i even bought a shirt.. which you can see in my picture..

oakenfold's good, though i think he's got TOO much popularity.

my absolute personal favorite of any electronic music would have to be Juno Reactor, though. they did much of the Matrix soundtrack for all 3 movies...damned good stuff. check them out, even though they're closer to goa-psy trance

doubtful...a magazine did it, as she posted, and music mags - especially those dedicated to a certain genre - have the job of keeping up with the top music in that category.

i CAN say that one of the groups used very frequently in Doboy mixes is 4 strings. if you like what he does, check out their stuff.

the simple fact is the DJ brings the music together and makes it come alive. i think it would be nice if they did have some way to acknowledge who composed the music.

i like paul okenfold too. great stuff. check out the essential mix for china and havana cuba. good stuff.

    check out trance addict: http://www.tranceaddict.com/singles.php

    awesome stuff there.

the most amazing dj's i heard live has got to di tiesto, paul van dyk, dj irene and christopher lawrence. but there were ppl like mars, thee-o, tall paul that are from the la scene that i really liked too. i suggest u check them out if u wanna hear consistently good live sets.

Chemical Brothers? Yes they compose their own music, which is great. I think they're geniuses. Proven by sales.

It takes alot to spin music...... they are definately artists in themselves not just a disk jockey..... disk jockey will just play one song after another... with little intrvals... people who spin have to catch that tune and bring another and another and another in at the same time, and make it all come together.... I don't like it when you go to a party and a dj plays his spins off the computer... thats kinda lame. but when they are really there switching it up and hardcore spinning.. it's cool.. I love how some of them dance and spin .. the ones that give you a real show. LOVING IT !!

It's hard to get caught these days unless you download a lot. However, if you get caught, kiss your ass goodbye.

correction: agreed with the above, unless the artist distributes the music for free. if you can get it from the artist's site without paying, you (and anyone else downloading it) win. :)

It doesn't cost much to buy music. I do most of my shopping on iTunes. And I frequently get iTunes gift cards.
