Some of the special Corolla in Corolla Fleet of Taiwan

Maybe in the US, they are not special, but if in Taiwan, they are specail, why?Since Tiawan is not big and wide, since 1 person owned 4 cars and 7 motorbikes in average(PS: just average, just like New Zealanders ownd 17 sheeps per person in average), Taiwan always getting traffics every where, so most people like to drive Automatic, and the car dealer wanted to earn money, 98% of the dealer don;t import nor manufacture Maneul transmission, such as GOA Corolla, Lexus IS, BMW, except super sports car such as S60R, Porsche, and Firrari....and another point is swap engine is iligal, Muffler changed, too....so it's not too easy to get car really mod in Taiwan. Except Impreza, Civc, Lancer/Virage.

    HBL's Turbo 98 Corolla

His car has a turbo with its 1zzfe engine, however, since Taiwan is too easy to get traffic, he kept his auto transmission.

    Dog051's Visual Espirit New Corolla

His car has not any of the engine mods, he's focusing on the visual espirit, and he's front body kit was combined Corona Exsior and Corolla's Tom's Kits.

    DaDa's 89 4A-GE Corolla

His car is a bit special, the engine bay loaded up with the 4A-GE AE101 w/ JDM 5 MT, since the privous owner did not really take care of this engine, therefore the top speed only gone up to 205 km/hr, but the 0-60 came out w/ 7.63 sec, and the 0-400 came out w/ 15. 54 sec.

    Tian's 3S-GTE New Corolla

He loaded up w/ a 3S-GTE and 5MT, however, since we don;t really know what year of the engine it is, we did not really know the max horse power is, but it got lots of torque.Focus on his Fenders....

    Huai's 6MT 01 Corolla

He swaped in a 2ZZ-GE's 6MT in his 1zz-fe, however, since he did not realized that the 2zz-ge has 2 different knid of the 6MT, he got the one which did not really suit him, therefore the acceleration is bad, he must turn into the end of 3rd gear to reach 60 miles, it ended up w/ bad acceleration. His bumper was combined w/ Impreza GT and 01 Corolla's.

    Sion's 93 Turbo New Corolla

He put up a turbo and 5MT w/ its 7A-FE,
run fast, since i've heard his best time of 0-60 was 6.43 sec, 0-400, i am not sure yet....

Quan's TRD LSD w/ JDM 5MT New Corolla

TRD LSD makes his turning faster, the TRD 1.5 way LSD made he laughs, watch out his fender......

Their bodykits are pretty unique. I'm impressed with all of the work they've done though, especially the swaps.

Well, there's Pete, and there's one person out in Utah or something like that who I helped with the wiring (he's the guy who kept his 5-speed). Other than that I've never seen or heard of these "at least 2 in the US", and of all people, I would know if they were legit... there's always rumors and I'm sure there are people out there who've gotten the swap done and just don't hang out online, but I'd like to see the info on them.

Where did you hear about these other two in the US?

randy0812, that's an awesome engine. Do you know what's different about the TRD special edition 2ZZGE?

hello, you can just call me Randy :) from what i've known so far, the JDM TRD SE came out with 210 hp, it's a bit different than the usual JDM 2zz has only got 190(the US version i remember was 180), and also there's a little alluminum metal plate shown on engine head. the fuel map is different, too. and the last is the rev, it can straightly go up to 8300 RPM, the usual JDM version only goes up to 7600RPM, not sure if the US version is the same as JDM usual, but if i did not remember wrong, the US version goes up to 7600 RPM, too. right? that's what i've known so far

his name is mike - name on the boards was miniyota (that's his aim s/n too). he didn't just swap in the 2zz (and he actually did it 3 years ago... I think he was the first), he went the next step and built the internals, turbo/fmic and nitrous. With an auto tranny he was runnin mid-12s.

Unfortunately he totalled it on the way from lakeland to meet us in orlando for HIN 2002. Some guy bought it from his ins. company and has done some really nice work to it now... though it has the 1zz in it again. I still talk to him now and then. Drives a 1g DSM and a chevy s-10 now i think.

and you guys are also forgetting pete (supershyguy) - he has a 2zz in his corolla too. I've seen it in person at NOPI so it's definitely in there lol.

arg for the amount of money it cost me to swap in a used 1zz motor i could have had one of u guys swap a GT-S motor for me  o well. btw do you think it is possible to do just a GT-S head swap? kinda like the idea of an LS-vtec. that would be awsome a corolla frankenstine
