Wheels and weight?

I am going to be purchasing some wheels soon and I can these Motegi MR7s for pretty cheap and they weigh 24 pounds so I was wondering what the stock weight of a 2000 prizm wheel would weigh...I realize most of you guys have corollas but its pretty much the same car. Thanks for any advice

dont know the stock weight, but Motegi's are NOT lightweight wheels

Motegi = heavy most of the time

Just a simple formula here. Working fine for 14"-18" rims.
1lbs : 1inch
If you have 15" rims, 15lbs is average,
-Any over is "heavy" already.
-A little 1-2 lbs lighter is "ok".
-3-4 lbs lighter is "light".
-Anything less is "crazy light Yo!"

Like I said, it's just a simple formula, it really depends such as forged or cast.

My 15" Subzero is about 12-13lbs a piece, it's ok-light to me. My friend's 15" Helium is only 10.8lbs, now that is light!
Stock 14" steel is usually about 20-24lbs a piece.

20-24 for the stock wheels sounds about right. so the Motegis will make the car slower. you have to take rotational mass and how far that mass is from the center in to account as well as just the weight.

motegi are show car rims so dont expect them to be very light.
