for the amount of money you'd spend, turbo is the better option.

everybody knows turbo is better than supercharger, but it all depends on your budget and what you perfer.if you get turbo there too many maintance involve, for the supercharger less maintance involve.Looking for a supercharger for your car is impossible to find because nobody makes it.

above and beyond that - the power output of a turbo is more worth the money spent.

^ True, ESPECIALLY if you're buying a TRD Supercharger. Those things are rediculous for the small gain in power.

wait for the turbo if you cant afford now. people always talk about all the maintenance, but if you do the right upkeep and preventive maint. then you will be fine. besides if you really want it go and get it yo!

Supercharger is better than turbo on maintenance and engine life but has less power than turbo supercharger is also better for everyday driving.

Turbo is bad for a stock engine for daily drivers your gonna have to pay more than 1000 bucks every 1-3 thousand miles for the stock rods and other engine parts involved. So you have to invest in high peformance rods, pistons, bearing, sleeves, block, and you know the rest of it. it might cost 3-5 grand or more on those

The whole point is a supercharger would give you a more linear powerband as if you are running naturally aspirated.. it doesn’t matter if you are rear or fwd, drifting or doing road courses, the instantaneous power from a supercharger (ie no turbo lag) is beneficial.. that is unless you plan on doing the kind of racing where you just jam down the go pedal in a straight line,.

ok on the turbo or supercharger, how bout neither. face it, u and i both got corollas and its never gonna be as fast as another better car and u know it. Its good for a daily driver, y sacrifice driveablity and reliability. I finally realized this a little too late after i wasted so much money on this car. Now i'm saving up for an aw11 and a hi-comp 4age or 4agze. Its true that the corolla isnt played out but other cars with more potential are also underrated therefore fair game.

his blowup wasn't a cause of the turbo...if you read what he's said, it was the result of OTHER problems, and it's likely the turbo exacerbated the problem.

How about a 75 shot of laughing gas ? Its less money than turbo, an its not always putting wear on your engine like a turbo would.

^agreed, nitrous is a waist of time, there is no novelty in it. all in all if you want some power turbo the car, s/c is way too expensive for what it nets ya. yes it's cooler in my opinion but that's only b/c it takes alot more imagination and labour to get it to work and look good.

turbo is the way i'ma go or a 3s-ge swap what ever presents itself first.

    cheers,

Turbo gives you more HP per $ spent.

But you could make a 200+WHP supercharged 1zz if you REALLY want to and have a lot of $$$.

How about if you need a power adder to beat ppl then you have a crappy setup. Nitrous, it too is a power adder just like Turbo an superchargers are.

eh. nitrous is the wrong kind of "power adder" - it's not forced induction, it's laziness.

I like nitrous, because you can turn it off an run an N/A class, or you can turn it on an run up against someone who also has it. I also think its the best bang for the buck, but were all going to have are own opinions on someting...an thats fine.

I was talking about using it in drag racing. obviously nitrous doesnt last forever, so if you were at a track then yes turbo would be much better.
