    Seems like most people around here are auto. I was lucky and my rolla turned out to be stick, even though I didn't have a hand in choosing the car. If it was an auto, I probably would have sold it for something else though.

    On my opinion your Corolla S looks better than the new 05 Corolla XRS

    mines an auto as well...if you think the corolla is slow then an xB isn't gonna make you much happier...a turbo automatic rolla would probably be faster(or at least the same speed) than a turbo manual xB, depending on the setup of course

    I wouldn't buy an xB anymore because i saw a turbo xb on cardomain and the engine wont even keep up with a stock rolla A/T and thats on 5600 rpm on the xB it goes 120 then engine shuts off.The Corolla on the other hand can still go faster and at only 5000 rpm i tried it with my buddy following me with his RX-8 his goin 125 and im a bit faster he said.

    xBs are incredibly slow stock..makes me wonder if it would take a turbo just to keep up with a stock 5sp Corolla.. <img src="http://vvti.net/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Stick Out Tongue" /><br />
    <br />
    I haven't driven one, though..so I dunno.

    I think someone in the old forum raced a turbo xB with his stock 01 rolla and win for many car length.

    Auto here.

    Its a love hate realationship i hate it because i really dont get the "feel" of the car but i commute so much 100-150 miles a day through bumper to bumper traffic, that sometimes i'm glad i drive an auto.

    My next car if possable will be a M3 with SMG best of both worlds

    Possibly not even. There's a guy on SFR with an auto xB - he imported and installed a Blitz Supercharger on his xB. Sounds great. Called me out (5spd rolla w/ CAI... that's it) - I literally put about 8 carlengths on him. He runs mid 17s WITH A SUPERCHARGER!!! Ran 20s!! before that.

    If looking for speed... an xB is def. not the way to go... but neither is a corolla really lol. But mod-for-mod, the corolla will be much quicker.

    The Blitz supercharger for the xB only makes like 30-40 horsepower.. its rediculous.... You would be happier if you started with a car that made more power from the start.

    mine is a auto too.. but i just bought a 2004 civic SI 5 spd manual... it is SOOOOOOO nice... now i have to learn how to drive it... I am trying .. i almost got it... except when a big truck pulled up on my bumper on a huge hill... i burned out in first and second so i wouldn't hit him.. i just bought the car like last week.. it is awesome though.. but i have to have a auto for those times when i am tired . cause stick is definately a job.
