Engine 03 rolla with a supra eng?

    I agree. Why waste all that money on a Rolla when there are so many better choices out there, ie. 350Z, WRX, RSX, or do the right thing and get an older project car. Why put 10K into a car just to destroy it as a daily driver?

    My best is sell the car too, don't buy XRS waste money, just get a supra or Celica GT4 if you can find one... :p

    I miss the days when you could pull a 170 cubic inch slant six out, and throw in a 273 cubic inch V8. (It's better to also use the A727 instead of the A904G, which is what I did.) The entire engine/transmission swap took about 6 hours.

    To get back on topic-- any insight into whether the TRD supercharger for the 1ZZFE would fit the 2ZZFE? It seems it ought to-- and talk about a monster afterwards!

    i dont know if any one has said this since i didnt feel like read through alot of bs on this post. But i'll give you a multitude of reasons explain why its not possible and why it is possible

    1)simply put you would need to cut out the entire center line about 6-8 inches wide on the unibody, the firewall would have to be cut out and a new one fabircated and welded in. The mid hump would also have to extend the length of the axel.

    2)the tranny and geat linkage would sit so far back in its stock form it would probably be easier to shift whil ein the back seat. Eyeballing the size it would end up right where your ebrake cable attaches.

    3)the front of the car would simply not hold the weight even under aftermarket springs, springs would have to be custom made like most drag cars are made. It would have to have an insane spring rate and psychotically pressurized struts to handle the few extra hundred lbs the front would be carrying. IE motor exhuast manufold, intercooler all the accessorys

    3) the mounts for the motor would simply not line up, you would probably be welding in motor mounts to the interior and right behind the fenderwall.

    4) Custom axels would have to be cut, machined and welded to the factory connections.

    5) your fuel tank would have to go. and go somewhere. cuzz its not going in the trunk

    6) the entire trunk pan would be removed, axels and diff carrier would have to have some sort of cross member welded into the body probably at the strut towers where it can carry the weight accross the entire rear of the car. Assuming you get the axel connected to the diff and the diff housing aligned see step 7

    7) if you made it this far you must be insanely wealthy because now we need to mate a supra suspension to the corolla strut towers. I guess removing the stock rear multi link suspension and somehow welding in the busing mounts from a supra would work, but the rear width would increase greatly.

    8) you would need a massive reservoir of brake fluid since your now running rear supra twin piston calipers and discs and stock front corolla brakes.

    9) your friend the gas tank can probably go in the back seat on the left or right side.

    10) heres my favorite, the corolla was designed around a fwd platform, i seriously doubt if the body can take the torque twisting in the wrong direction the body was designed for. its possible if you got this whole setup to run the first time you luanch and hook traction your windshield snaps and your rear suspension falls off.
