The stalk looks like the same - just that it has a rotary switch (like a ring on a finger) that you rotate to turn the fogs on and off. The lights are still controlled by the rotary control on the end. I'll see if I can get a picture of it to illustrate.

where is the wiring for the lights then? or is it if you have the headlight switch of the Corolla S, then the fog light wiring in the front of the bumper will be activated. just like how the intermittent wipers work if u switch to a wiper switch with the function

the switch is enabled/disabled by the DRL relay.. what happens when, no clue. but the switch runs a relay elsewhere that actually controls the fogs.

Toyota wires all the models the same, regardless of ce le or s, however they don't always put in the needed relays to run the components. I have an 01 ce that ihave installed fog lights on. its quite simple. You ahve get a toyota conbination with gog light controls from that same body style and model years. for example my switch came from a 4 runner and happend to fit just fine. once you install the switch you have go the dealer and order a fog light relay, its about $25 and plugg it in to the relay block in the lower left kick panel then the wiring that is in the front bumper is zip tied to the raditor support right below the headlights cut the zip tie and plug it in to your fog lights and your done. I would post a diy but ididn't take pic as i was doing it and don't want to take it apart and do it over just to show evry body. If need you can e-mail me and i'll give detailed instructions with wiring diagrams to show what you need to do.

its almost impossible to find a corolla switch, you could just check ebay every now and then. I got out of a 4 runner for $30, if you got an 03 + rolla i have a couple for sale and ihave a couple for 200 plus celica but they don't fit the 01-02 rollas.

    <sigh>...$200 for a barely-functional, aesthetic lamp....why Toyota, why?!
