Yes for yours. But make sure you get the 00+ Celica GT, not GTS nor any year b4 00.

03+ Corollas already have the same manifold as the Celicas, right? I know the manifold was redesigned and is plastic now (have an '03). I kind of liked the intake manifolds on the 98-02 Corollas....it was unique to be certain. I thought the idea was to produce more low-mid range torque with the longer intake runners....right??

No, I think the plastic one is a lot better than my 01 metal one. If you touch (and plz don't!) it after you fun for say 10 mins. It's REALLY HOT that you can cook egg on it. :p
But for the plastic one, is will still so cool. And remember, it's part of the intake, cooler = better! :)
That's why I'm also looking for the plastic manifold too. :D

    Exactly, cooler is better.

The metal manifold dissipates heat better, that is why it is hot to the touch. It sends the heat through the metal into the outside atmosphere, cooling the atmosphere inside the intake.

Where as in the plastic intake, it's cooler to the touch, which means it is dissipating less heat keeping the atmosphere inside the intake warmer.

But I do belive the plastic intake is larger, and has much better welds than the metal intake does, as well as a larger throttle body (if I'm not mistaken) which make it nicer.

if you have the 02 Corolla then it can be done. but why would you? the runners help spin the air into a vortex which helps mixes the fuel for combustion.

Right, the metal manifold dissipates heat better. But also absorb better. The metal manifold absorb the heat from the engine and engine bay, it's not the one which produce heat. That's no need for it to dissipates heat.<br />

The plastic manifold is still cool after run because it didn't absorb much heat from the engine and the engine bay.
