the only way you'll successfully get a completed Stafford kit is through RR, too...Stafford can't seem to keep up with the demand on their shop.

as in, they don't bother making your parts.

Yeah ive heard horror stories on this board and others concerning the SF kits, and not just with corolla's. People on the Honda boards have the same things to say about them.

mr_s - you won't get a kit from the same place he did. he's lucky he got it...it's from Stafford Fabrications, who have been dicking Vamp over for nearly a year on just a manifold...they're no good with customer service.

i finally gave up with turboing these car. Weak block, weak internals just wasnt worth it anymore and was going to cost to much with to little return. The most ive seen anyone even boost to with these cars was like 7 psi and that was pushing it. My stock srt4 runs at 12-14 psi with about 230 whp. If you want to turbo and get great results on a budget the only cars i see now that are worth it is either the older corollas if you want to stay in a rolla or the hondas. hell even the neons are better because of the strong blocks and they dont have this crazy ass returnless fuel system that is in the 98 up corollas.Good luck though im still praying for a brake through so i can breathe life back into my 98 corolla.

I have a complete kit for sale people...dont waste your time and money on a custom kit that will put u @least a month w/ down time and then another month or 2 getting shit to work right...i have a kit that works.

dude, 7 psi is not pushing these cars...vortex is currently tryin to blow his motor as an excuse to get forged internals, but he is constantly pushing 13-15 psi and his stock clutch starts to slip, but his motor aint giving up. sean2sean has ran 12-13 psi on stock internals as well and he isnt having any problems. know your shit b4 u talk it. every1 used to say the corolla block is aluminum and weak, but seems to me the boosted rollas we have around here that really do push them have held there own quite well thank u

7psi daily... 13psi from time to time...

u cant really determine how weak the block is just by psi...

    a t25 might add 50hp at 8lbs of boost.... while a t3 might add 100hp at 8lbs of boost...

kit works good for me... been driving it for a while now...

the 1zzfe engine is a very good and reliable engine to work with...

sure it would be cheaper, since NO ONE ELSE MAKES A KIT. Stafford claims to, but they never follow through - as far as business is concerned, it doesn't exist.

Where did you find the parts to do this? And how much did it run you? I wouldn't mind beefing my Rolla up.

well no motor sucks if you 7grand to dump into it. but for the average corolla owner turboing to get serious power isnt going to be an option. My setup was going to be based off a garrett t25 which i researched and figured would give me the quick spool up i wanted. The main problem i ran into was the returnless fuel system and everyone telling me that the block was to weak. So my solution was going to be to get Dalton sleeves made to go into the engine. After evaluting everything i was going to need to do it right it was running into almost 5 grand. So i finally sat down and though it through and said i getting a better platform to begin with. Dont get me wrong i love this car but i just got discourage by probably what honda people were saying about the engine. maybe i was wrong peace
