camber kits for a 98 corolla?

    camber kits for a 98 corolla?

    any1 have any instructions on installing a camber kit for a 98 rolla?

    You need to have them installed when you get your alignment done. You can't get an accurate camber adjustment without the alignment machine.

    Did you drop your suspension recently adn is that why you beed a camber kit?

    i'm going to drop it next payday (2 weeks) and i want to get a 2" drop or close to it. i plan on buying the tein s.techs springs. i just read somewhere on this forum that with a drop like that, i have to correct my camber.

    I recommend installing them yourself just before you bring the car in for an alignment, otherwise they'll charge you even more.

    These are the bolts that you need:

    But you still need to have the alignment shop install them for you so they are correctly adjusted.

    I use Eibach, and they seem pretty good. I'm not sure how the Ingalls kit it, but definitely stay away from the OBX kit. I had those before and got rid of them.

    did you use air tools or regular hand tools?

    Yes, you can do it with hand tools. Just have a breaker bar or a steel pipe that fits over your socket wrench handy to give you extra leverage. I advise to torqueing everything to specs to reduce any chance of the bolt coming loose or the head shearing off. I've had several OE bolt heads shear off on me even when I do torque things down correctly :(.

    You can use either eibach or ingalls, they are both very good, and are pretty much the same. I put my suspension back to stock before selling my car by myself with only hand tools. You do need that three feet of heavy duty pipe or a long breaker bar to get the two suspension bolts off each strut. I also loosened the top strut bolt while the strut was still on the car and it made it a hell of a lot easier. Of course if you are getting both new struts/springs then you do not have to worry about it. BTW the camber correction bolt goes on the bottom hole of the strut if I am not mistaking, and only one bolt gets replaced in each strut.

    Good luck, and if you are doing it by yourself you need a whole day for it, just in case. I finished mine in about 4 hours, but that was because I had to compress the springs and all that good stuff. Look for a auto zone near you to borrow tools.

    whats wrong with the OBX kit?? some guy on here sold them to me and i have them on my fronts and rears righ tnow. they were sold to me for $25.
