have one, loved it since it came out.

the shuffle's a pretty cool version...it's tiny, and costs like $100. IF you get an iPod, make sure you use iTunes for compatibility.

...though, it's Apple hardware and software, so based off your previous comment about not liking Macs i don't know if you'd like it.

well i'll say this right away.

if someone tells you the battery dies, they lie, and they've only heard the bullshit about them. the hardware itself is damned worth the price.

the only thing is, you'll be using apple software.

if you're skeezy about using Apple stuff, then go with another of the larger MP3 players. there are a few out there that cost less, but aren't the same quality - but they use more universal music software.

oh...another thing...don't bother with an iPod mini, they're too small for the price. iPod photo is all blingy and nice but it's too pricey.

Ya i was curious if anyone had the shuffle here? What they thought of it and everything. The price on it is more what i was looking for..... just something small and less expensive to have close by.

that's a waste of money...you're paying for the pretty. trust me...that's the ONLY difference between that and the standard, white iPod.

drummer - the shuffle is a cool little unit. i had an opportunity to play with one at the apple store near me not too long ago. the only complaint i had about it(and it's partly why it's so inexpensive compared to the standard sized iPods) is the lack of screen...but the size more than makes up for it. i'm considering getting the boyfriend a Shuffle, simply because it's small...he travels a lot, so the smaller the better. if your local best buy has one out on display(or if there's an Apple store near you) go play with it...see how nice it is.

i got mine for christmas, but the parents picked it up at the Apple store...so it's the standard price for the 20gig

er...the pics on Apple's site - and the press release pics, etc - are all accurate pictures of it. it's the size of a pack of stick gum.

BLUE - if you dislike hardware that's reliable, and software that doesn't crash, then fine, it's trash.

but you're wrong :) you DO realize that almost every major movie in hollywood is made on Macs, don't you?

ahh...see...i'm a strong supporter of apple hardware AND software, so i tend to get a little twirked if someone starts bashing them.

ESPECIALLY when they've never used them(like most people out there).

The only place i've ever really used apple was at school and I didn't like em much. But that's just my preference of course.
