TRD Strut Bar vs other strut bars?

Is there a diff between the strut bars?
The trd one is around 180 and the others are around 50....

How much of a diff is there?

My freedom design strut bar doesnt hit anything and that was made for a 93-97 corolla and its adjustable.I feel the difference with and without the strut bar, when making sharp turns.

TRD is 1 piece design, not like those $50 ebay ones with 3 pieces. Parts won't loose. The joint is the weakest point for those ebay ones. They will blend in the hard corner.
BUT, imo, the TRD 1 piece design is not worth for the extra $100. I'll say just get the ebay one and save the $100 then use the moneyto buy the hotchk swaybar (~$290). :)

the trd one is sometimes on ebay for like $100, for $100 i would get TRD cuz its perfect fit, no flex, the ones on ebay are adjustable so theres always gonna be some slack in it.

The TRD strut bar doesn't hit the underside of the hood, like most generic ones do.

would you recommend them if i just drive my car normally and not autocrossing? i drive like a grandma so i dunno, i dun wanna buy it and then waste them if it doesnt make a diff anyway with the way i drive. Did you put them in urself? was it hard to install?

i'm not looking to extreme handling though. Just so my car wouldn't lean so bad on turns, New struts and lowering springs and a strut bar should do plenty.... and maybe later on i can get a sway bar....

I'm guessing i have to get a shop to install it? I odn't have a lift or anything and how would i go about adjusting it...

Hmmm, if you drive like grandma, it might not be worth it. I don't autocross, but I like to take my turns a bit hard sometimes and it does make driving more enjoyable. Also, I notice the car doesn't wander on the highway as much when it's really windy out. As soon asI get the Internet connection setup at the apartment (hopefully soon), I'll post up a writeup. As for them replacing the strut bar, they go underneath the car and replace the stock sway bars. Having the sway bars with the strut bar is a good combination. The front it easy to install, but the rear is a bitch to get the stock bar out and the new one in. You also have to unbolt the gas tank strap and lower the gas tank a little to get it out and in.

Oh yeah, the sway bar is night and day difference. I got mine from NOPI. I recommend starting with the medium setting for the rear and testing out the car in an empty lot as it may cause the rear to kick out on high speed turns depending on your setup. Once you get everything setup right, it rocks.

Nope. Everything I needed was with the bars. I was about to say read my tips page, but then I realized that I forgot to write the sway bar install section. Lol.
