The Formal Intro to my 78 Datsun 280ZT

I just got my 78 280ZT at the end of January 05' and have been doing some slight upgrades to it as I am still trying to sell my Rolla.

What she's got done so far...
Intercooled T4 turbo setup (currently running 7-12psi well mannered, depending on my mood)
Stock injectors (I dunno why these were never upgraded before me...they hate boost)
    Turbonetics wastegate
    Bored 0.020 over
    Crane Cam
    P&P major engine components
    3 angle valve job
    60mm TB
    MSD 6-btm ignition
    Dial a boost controller
    Adjustable FPR
Polished Valve Cover w/ high temp gray paint in the middle on top
3" mandrel bent exhaust w/ Magnaflow muffler
    Riken rims (16x7s) w/ 205/45ZR bridgestone potenzas
AutoPower Rollbar w/ custom cross bar
    Custom Short shifter
    Red/Black racing seats
    5-point Crow Racing Harnesses
Swapped shift knobs cuz the Datsun emblem popped out, i glued it back in, but didnt like the rubber knob, so upgraded to a nice "Z" logo'd leather knob.

Mods in the making or for future...
Custom Projector HID Headlights (waiting 4 sean2sean...he is lagging majorly)
Pallnet 11mm O-ring Fuel Rail (Ordered)
Supra 440cc fuel injectors (Have ready to install)
    Better Fuel Management (Looking)
    Tokico Struts/Springs (buying this month...May)
    Classic Spoiler
    Better Turbo Upgrade
    Forged internals
    BOV, not diggin the flutter
Body Kit (bought...need to pick up)
    and some other things TBA

Here's a few pics of my new pride and joy...tell me what u think.

I got the seats in the car tonight w/ some help of some fellow Z owner from my car club...1st time I met them tonight at a last minute setup BBQ and they wanted to help me put the bad boys in, we had to drill new holes for the brackets and the seats were a tight fit, but the guys were huge help, thats what I call a car club...hadnt even met them yet and willing to lend a hand and do the job for me! I will post some pics tomorrow evening hopefully.

The Rolla just doesn't interest me anymore. I wanted a 5 speed, something compact and quick as is, 2 seater and RWD, plus my best friend owns a 82 280zx and the car is awesome...and thats what brought me to the Z

May I ask how much that bad boy set you back? I've been a long time Z fan. Personally I've been looking for a 260, but nothig around here without being rusted to hell.

That is an awesome looking Z man. COngrats on the great find. Looks like you found a great platform to work with.

The only thing IMO is please do not put a body kit on that awesomely designed body. It looks great as is, maybe paint the front airdam, and yes a small classic lip spoiler on the rear hatch would look just amazing.

Again very nice car man, great job in finding it and with what you have done so far.
