    HELP gauge wiring

As noted in another thread, going to have a new pillar gauge pod coming in with gauges, I will have 3 of the following four to install:

    Temperature gauge
    oil pressure
    voltage
    tach

I will be using tach for sure, and voltage. For voltage, is it just a matter or running a 12v lead from the battery?
And for the tach, does anyone have any pics of how to wire that up to the distrtibutor?
What about the temperature gauge, does anyone know the wire on the dash gauge cluster that is (would like to have both running)
And for the oil pressure one, I would assume that I would have to install a sensor in the oil pan? if so i'll just leave that gauge out and use the temp one.

    For the tach:

No pics, but I've been told to buy a multimeter that measures RPMS -- you can find this at Sears or on Ebay. Use that and find the wire from the distributor that gives you an RPM signal. I *assume* you just tap that wire and run it to the tach as the signal wire.

I haven't done this myself yet, but I've seen it explained on here before. I'm sure someone else can add something.

When I find my haynes manual, I'll scan the wiring diagram for the gauge cluster. Hope this helps.

I'm going to install a aftermarket tach too. Anyone has wire diagram available?

You're going to want to remove the cluster.
Then it is clip A (blue) and ping number 5, which is black).
    Enjoy!

    What year is your car?

You're on the right track with the voltage, you can run it off any switched 12v pretty much. I like to use the +B wire to the ECU because it's easy to find.

For the temp, you can hook that into the wire coming from the stock temp guage if you want, there's no real reason to do that though since you already have one. For the oil pressure, you need to get the actual part that measures the pressure and T that into the oil pressure switch. So basically you'll have the oil pressure guage and switch running out of the same port.

Mind explaining where the "+B wire to the ECU" is (not sure what +B is)

Yea, in the meantime I have figured out most of everything.
Tach is not a problem, inverter will be here thanks to someone else on the forum who had one.
Temp I might just put in temporarily until I can find a oil pressure sensor for this gauge (electrical, not mechanical). (IF anyone has one or knows of where to get one, please let me know!!!)

Eh yeap, it's normally a Black/Red wire that goes to the computer.

Or, there's a 12v wire that goes to your stereo that you can probably access easier.
