    01 - 02 headlight question

I'm thinking about doing a 98 - 01/02 conversion and I have a few questions about how the headlamps work.

    1) In the 01/02 headlamp, does the DRL use the low beam or high beam?
    2) In the 01/02 headlamp, does both the low beam and high beam come on when the high beams are used or does the low beam cut off in order for the highs to come on?

    Thanks.

Okay then, my next question is does anyone know how to relocate the DRL to the high beams or is that not possible?

hey dumbass, DRL run with only 30% light output NOT the full 100% output. So next time make yourself sound less of an ass before you try to make yourself look smart, dumbass. And some cars on the road do use high beams as their DRL.

lol whatever, your the one that came here with a stupid idea. and who cares how much light output its giving out, its shining straight into peoples eyes. let me shine a weak ass flashlight in your eyes for a little while and tell me if it was the output or the fact that you had a god damn light shining in your eyes that bugged you.

No questions are stupid, idiot. You're just trying to make yourself feel better, because you're not man enough to apologize for just bursting out a rude ass "stupid" comment like that. And there's not a damn thing wrong with that cuz this is just the Internet and you have the right to act like an ass. As for your logic that's what DRL is, "a weak ass flashlight shining in your eyes". I mean what's so stupid about the idea if the ZR2 Blazers and S10s, Audi's, and even the Celica use high beam DRL?

Okay. Point taken. I'M SORRY EVERYONE. Lets start now and be cool now.

Lets discuss IN A PEACEFUL AND RESPECTFUL manner why DRLs are on high beams if they are so bad? And I really wanna know and being open minded. Personally, I think DRLs on low beam don't look right because people will think you left your lights on and yes I have gotten people to tell me that. Secondly, I don't want to disable them for the auto headlight.

plu, quit with the "INTERNET SELF-DEFENSE" case. It's making you look nerdy. Defend that if you must.

I don't even see that much aggression from blokkem post. What he said is true, and it has nothing to do with YOU. Just your idea. And I feel the same way, HIGH BEAMS ARE DIRECT. I don't want that shit shined in my eyes, regardless of output. And if you're gonna cry about it and call people dumbasses and then think you're right, you're on the wrong path my friend.

Yes, it was a harmless question. And most of these responses are harmless. If anything, YOU ARE THE ONE who majorly changed the tone. blokkem stated something that was true "would wanna" and I doubt he was enraged, but it sounds as if you were knocking things off tables. Notice the end of his quote "BUT IT'S DANGEROUS." It's not even about kicking your ass or a mom or anything of that sort. He's caring about the lives of others and maybe even your own life. Quit being so immature and judgemental.

NRM - on top of that, if you have to go on a military base for ANY reason, you're required by law to turn off headlights...they don't care if you have DRLs, they require them to be turned off.

Your hi-beam DRLs are going to be even more noticeable and people are still gonna think you left your headlights on. But with the number of vehicles on the road that actually come equipped with DRLs, I'm surprised people have even asked you.

Hi-beam DRLs aren't going to kill you, but why waste your time. Your reasoning that you should do it so people would stop asking you if you left your lights on is not really that great of a reason to do anything, especially since this won't stop this.

Disabling my DRLs was probably the best thing I did to my car. Autoheadlight isn't really THAT important. The on knob is just about 4 inches from where your hand should be on the wheel. I put in a switch for my disable, simple on/off when I want it. But I've never turned it on again once I disabled it. Your call.
