I don't like the fact that it did away with alot of the current car's styling cues.

i gotta agree with the whole RL and 5 series having kids to make this. I definitely love the look of the car but i think a lot of us fell in love with the last design. I never really liked altezza's that much but it worked for this last gen IS

The new dual vvti will have an astonishing compression ratio of 12:0:1 (and I thought my XRS 11:5:1 was high).

Definitely, high compression ratio engine depend on the Octane level used. Using lowere than minimum required Octane can cause predetonation and blow the motor up. I was using the minimum required on my 11:5:1 compression car, which is Octane 91. Now I started using Octane 94 three weeks ago and can definitely feel a difference in the responsiveness and smoothness of the car (shifts, engine sound etc.).

i like the back but the front doesnt match....i think the current IS front with that back end would look better. Those tails look better than the altezzas.

wouldn't mind trading in my old one for that. i think it looks nice. although i'd probably wanna wait until they come out with the manual tranny (rumor is it wont come out until the 2nd year production...what a shame..)

    Hate it!!!
The current gen. IS is better than this piece of crap. First, no Altezza. Are you kidding me. The performance turbo stock andother light mods are what make the IS the best Lexus/Toyota make. To tell you the truth, it looks sort of like an Acura TL. Poor decision making on Lexas/Toyota's part. Poor car.
