I love skylines n both Azn Spice's skyline pic and that one on the ebay link is gorgeous....

slighly off subject...since i will be keeping my corolla until i graduate from medical school, ive been thinkin bout projects down the road....one in particular would be gettin R34 headlights directly from a skyline or getting 2003 Hyundai Elantra headlights n retrofitting them onto my corolla.....dunno, just a thought....

i bet the japanese are asking themselves "why are those silly americans so obessed with our cars" and vice versa.

but i think they only enjoy the iconic american automobiles i.e the mustyang, corvette, so on and so forth. I dont think they would want a ford turaus or chevy malibu.

I'm just saying that Motorex does the legalization for you. And after that is all said and done, that is how much the cost of the cars go for through them.

And how much do you estimate it would cost for the car + legalization afterwards? And what other respectable trustworthy compaines are there that will import a Skyline for you?

Funny....I was looking at the .pdf's on your site, and started coming across pictures of the Skyline that was being legalized, and in one pic it showed the front winshield with a MOTOREX decal across it...Lol.

The MSRP of the 2005 Infiniti G35....$30,600-33,150

I dont know how much the MSRP of any of the Jap Skylines are but they typically sell for anywhere from $15,000-$35,000 in the US...theyre usually pretty close to the $30,000 mark tho....im not too sure about the spec changes tho, i kno they make emissions changes and of course change the position of the driver from right to left hand drive....

...my cousin is in the marines, and he was sent to Okinawa, Japan for a year of training....they were selling R33 barely used for only around $4,000-$8,000....the only thing was that he told me that shipping was $4,000....i think thats worth it....one of my cousin's friends in the marines bought the R33 for $8,000 and the guy bought it completely fixed up.....the last i heard, my cousin told me that his friend's R33 is still sitting at the base waiting to be shipped here and they came back from Okinawa in December of 2003...n my cousin said that his friend might just leave it there and sell it to someone in Japan.....man, what an opportunity wasted!....

The G35 is quote un-quote a Skyline. However what it is not, is a Skyline GTR. The GTR is what everyone is in love with. And the G35 does not compare to the GTR. Now if you want a GTR, in the US with the trimings to make it US legal, then it's going to cost you in the ballpark of $45,000-$90,000 depending on the model.

The cheapest GTR from Motorex.Net is $49,000.

there is a 2005 GTR which is in very small and limited amount. The 2005 R34 Z-tune is $100,000+ from the factory. I think the range was only 35 are going to be made. There is an article in edmunds or some other websites about the R34.

    R32 GTS 1-5k GTR 12-15k
    R33 GTS 14k-19k GTR 20-25k
    R34 GTS 30-40k GTR 45-60k

    Hope this helps :)

On second thought, The cheapest on Motorex.Net is $48,000 for a GTR33. When I start making $60k a year, I'm getting a GTR. Probably an R32.

    PS..More money for VSPEC models.

if you visit my website it has the legal documents from DOT on how an RI legally imports a skyline. Has absolutly nothing to do with motorex.

In Ja-Pan the official name for the Infinity G35 is Skyline V35, one main difference to be noted is the 8spd Xtroid CVT Paddle shifter transmission as seen in the Skyline GT-8. Very different from the weak sauce craptonic transmission in your so called performance sedan.
The next GTR is not due out till 08.

The R34 is played out to me thanks to movies like 2 stupid 2 watch, not to mention the only guys I seen driving them stateside is snotty ass rich kids. Its getting phased out in JGTC anyways, man tuners like Xanavi are switching to the lighter and more nimble 350Z platform
