Good pick up, love the tC's, I myself get nervous too when driving stick, due to I am not at all a "master" at it. Definately though more power to you on just venturing out to the world. Again, nice pick up.

    i got my Scion tC!

yes! i got my tC today. i just got it bone stock, nothing extra, i'll get floormats soon, theres no way i was going to pay like $140 for floormats...how is a tire pressure monitoring system and a power sunroof standard but floormats are add ons?

anyways, i got an indigo ink pearl..i also like the black cherry and black sand pearls, but i like blue cars alot. i got a stick shift...yeah, i'm ok with stick shift, in a couple of hours, i totally improved 100%...on the way home from the dealership, i stalled it on a hill, it wasn't even that steep. i was so nervous about rolling back into the lady behind me, so i used the ebrake method...well, i let the clutch up too much...i restarted and somehow i got out of there, i don't remember how i did it without rolling back or stalling again...when i got to my neighborhood, i practiced on a hill there, a steep one. i was starting to get good with just using the regular break and then pedal clutching it...then i ate dinner and tried again some more...i couldn't do it anymore for some reason, i stalled it 3 times trying. so, i'll stick with the ebrake method, it's pretty easy, i just pull the ebrake, let out the clutch with some gas till the car lurches forward an inch and gets locked by the brake, then let down the brake with some gas and i'm off. i was going over my girl's house and there is this hill (DW1986 will know which one, the hill on state at sprague) it's pretty steep at the stoplight, well, i was coming up on the hill and my palms are sweating because of it, thank god, for the first time ever in my life, the light changed and i got to ride right through it...i don't think i would have been good enough to attempt it.
anyways, it's really sweet, i'm happy. only problem is that i have to sell my corolla now, but i have to fix it up a little first.
i got my tC for $16500 or so...the i put down $7k and at 4.5% for 60 months it's $203 a month, i can live with that...i will be making extra payments to pay it off quicker, theres no charge for early payoff.

i have a question, when you guys are going around a turn at say, 20 mph, you should take the turn in second gear right? do you let out the clutch at all when you go around the turn?
also, what gear should i be in if i'm going 25 mph, what about for 35-40 mph?
i'll take pics tomorrow, i took some tonight, but they suck. thanks dudes

congrats on your new car. I checked out the tC about couple a months ago and I was instant in love with the car after the salesperson show me all the things you can do with the car. Interior space is nice and fold-down seats makes a lot more space. I was looking at a ink pearl indigo one too... gotta love the color! unfortunetely the deal didn't go through... I didn't have much down payment and monthly payments were going to be too much due to Scion's strict financing policies.

After I crashed my Spec V I was going to get a tC... but at the same time I wanted a fun car. I chosen the MSM over tC because of fun factor and I didn't mind not being practical at all. After a week, the thought of small interior still haven't hit me yet. I think my MSM is a keeper. Do enjoy your car though! ^_^

You can stay in second gear almost to a stop..so in a 20mph turn, don't press the clutch. You can't accelerate out if you do that.. ;)

As far as gears/mph -- it's up to you. If I'm racing, driving hard, etc, I'm still in first at 25mph. If I'm just going along with traffic, I'd probably be in third.

For hills, don't be afraid to give it gas..it's cheaper to replace tires than to replace the clutch. :)

congrats on the ride! :) OT a bit...but this past weekend I was in NJ at an import shop. One guy that left had a xA and the sales guy was like yea thats a nice car, its real good on gas. I told him I had the tC and how I liked the gas mileage on it. then the convo went like this..

Him: Do you have the supercharger?
Me: It hasn't come out yet.
Him: Oh yes it has, there are like two companies that have it already.
Me: Maybe they're pre-orders but the SC was supposed to come out in December but it never did. I heard January so who knows.
Him: I'm positive someone has it. Just wait and I'll go check my sources.
Me: Alright homie, but I'm telling you that no one has it.

30 minutes later (I had to get something done to my sis's car thats why i was there a long time).
    (I hear him mumble)
    Him: I can't find it..I think nopi.com has it..let me check.

he must of gave up after the nopi shit cause he completely ignored me the whole time I was there until I had to pay..lmao.
