    Cheap TV kit

Ok, so here's my plan. I want to get this:
    http://www.etronics.com/product.asp...r5r&svbname=293
    $79 for a tuner box with 3 inputs/2 outputs

Then u take the 5" PSone LCD screen with 2 video inputs (easily had for $20-$40 on ebay). This screen also has s-video/RCA input by default (with the adapter cable). So we're talking roughly $100 for a TV with tuner/antenna, and ability to add a DVD head unit later (perhaps just hide a thin ps2 below the glovebox) which would add another $180.

Also, so I'm not rushed, I found you can buy a replacement bezel on ebay for $25.. so then I can cut my hole, fabricate the LCD bezel, take my time.. Test it out by hooking it up to a spare battery.. then install it when I'm ready.

Is that tuner decent? anything I should do differently?

you mean because it runs off of 5v? yeah, I guess I will need to invert the voltage.

No, you need an inverter because it runs at 120V.

no no.. you're thinking of the power supply input.. output from the power supply is actually 7.5V DC:
    http://shop.store.yahoo.com/shoptro...sopsoneps2.html

if I can get the cigarette lighter adapter with it, I can probably just tap off that since it has the inverter built inside.

Sidenote: it says "Disclaimer: For passenger use only. Federal law prohibits the mounting of a TV in a position that is viewable by the driver of the vehicle.
" Can I get a ticket for that? If it's federal law, that means all states.

i'll sell you my flip down screen i never really used for $60, i think it's like 6 inches, not perfect though, the first vertical line on the left of the screen doesn't display colors correctly.
