    Swapping Gauge Clusters

Okay, so I got a hold of a 2001 Corolla S gauge cluster w/tach with red needles/faces. I want to swap it out with my 2000 CE cluster with no tach - but I want to swap the odometer part so I can maintain my current mileage. I can't figure out any way to remove just the odo part w/o damaging the needle or the face - how can i do this? I can't just replace the entire thing because the needles/faces are different colors.

So i guess my question is - is there any way for me to remove the needle, and the face? Or is there any other way I can get the odometer reset by someone to my current readings?

Get to know a mechanic really well. I've heard it's rather easy with the digital Odometer. I assume all you would need is a computer that connects to the ECU. Discretely ask around a Toyota dealer and see what you come up with.

the small digital ODO display can swap out independantly from the whole ODO part of the cluster... give it a check out i didnt do this myself since i changed from a CE cluster to a LE one (same colors) but i tis possible and fairly easy to do i think.

That's what i mean - its one whole piece, and unless I removed the solder from the 50 million pins connected to the digital display from the pcb, without breaking anything, and then remove the motor mounts, and break the plastic, and then somehow put it all back together, its not happening.
