Who drives an automatic?

I'm just trying to take a head count. I originally wanted a manual, but got an automatic for availability.

So besides me, anyone else drives an automatic here? :/

Haha, actually, I dropped my manual to get an '05 S automatic. I do a commute 80 miles to school Monday through Thursday through bumper to bumper traffic up HWY 152 mountains. Me and my clutch lasted for about a two weeks before I got fed up and got an automatic. It was a very dramatic change for me, auto shifting points are either really weird or I used to shift my car really weird, and it's annoying most of the time.

But having a free hand to shuffle cards, eat food, talk on the cell or whatever isn't as much as a hassle as it used to be. And boy oh boy is that traffic easier to get through. All I do is listen to the bump of the music from the 2 12"s in the trunk.

That's why I have one of each. For daily commuting in traffic - automatic will save your leg and help zip you around the holes that form from time to time - lot less headache for you. Manual for all other times - weekend cruises and and occasional run through some country roads.

Mine is an automatic as well and im happy with it. My old car was a manual and 90% of the time thats cool to have, but there is always those times you wanna kick back and just cruise without having to worry about shifting. Easier to get road head too with an auto. lol

    Manual.

Light flywheel and ACT clutch..no problem in traffic. Maybe I'm used to it..or maybe I haven't gotten lazy yet. ;)

I have an auto too its 3 speed on my 99 rolla. Sometimes I wish I had stick but I don't know how to drive one and I couldn't learn unless I get one so maybe on my second one I might try a stick, not sure yet though cuz I am right handed when it comes to the steering wheel and it would be hard for me to shift with right and hold the wheel with the left. I still can't get used to it but I'm trying.

I have an auto and am happy with it. I would probably get a stick if I got a second car.

that was the original mentality for getting the corolla...nevermind that i paid for it, it was originally meant for her to be able to use on occasion.

she won't drive it now that it's "uncomfortable" - but i'm still stuck with the slushbox.

i still live with mine, but no one has keys to the car aside from me...so there's no way they'd be able to drive it anyway. i think they just wanted something that had less to repair and was "safer"(in their minds). nevermind that i went and learned manual against their wishes(my dad's that retarded..), i just refuse to be stuck with a crapomatic the rest of my life.
