So..I want an alarm.

Any brands to look for or avoid? Should I stay away from BB/CC and look for an independent shop to do the install?

I want keyless entry and ignition cutoff..but those are probably fairly standard. It would be kinda cool to have the pager notification when the alarm goes off, but that's not really necessary..

Depends on the range -- $300 tops..but $200 (installed) would be better. I don't really know what I should expect to pay, though.

If you want a two way pager/lcd expect about $450.
Go through your phone book and call a bunch of places.
See who gives a lifetime warranty on their work. Who sounds like they have the most experience. Who's got the best price.

Yeah... if you can find an inexpensive, but decently made alarm and do it yourself you will save alot of money. Or get CivicEater to install it. It's worth it.
