Need to find good struts that will keep stock hight

My struts are warn out and i need new ones. What are good struts that will keep my car the same height. I'm tired of my rear buttoming out and bouncing around.

I know if i take it back to toyota they will charge me alot of money for new struts and springs.

Fow now i just want struts, springs later.

I sent one back and it's in the refund process -- I called Tokico, and they said to ship it back to the vendor. Nothing was mentioned about professional installation. <img src="http://vvti.net/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" />

aftermarket struts change the height very minimally. Tokico offers their HP line (blues) that I currently run with aftermarket springs.

alby12 is right - the struts don't really change your ride height. Your springs do that. If you plan to run stock height springs - then I'd go ahead and replace the struts with decent ones (Tokico, KYB, Koni, etc.) If your bottoming out - it might be weak springs. Bouncing around sounds like worn struts, though. If you want to run a lowering spring, then I'd hold off until you do that. Depending on the drop - for longer life, the OEM struts should be replaced with something that was designed to reduced stock and ride height. Otherwise - you'll kill the new struts really fast.

I found the tokico struts. But i'm having trouble finding new springs. Would new OEM springs be ok? I&quot;m planning to keep it stock height.

I dont think your springs are causing the problem, sounds like just struts. You could reuse the ones you have.

I think TRD makes stiffer springs with OEM ride height..better handling, same look.

The first Bilstein one listed won't work..it's missing parts..you need a full strut (like the Tokcios on the other page).

Email toyhookup@yahoo.com for a better deal on Tokicos..tell him Josh sent you..I paid $95 shipped for my replacement, which is cheaper than PerformancePartsWholesale's pre-shipping price. ;)

    email Jony @ toyhookup@yahoo.com

I don't know if it's a 'shop' or what, but he gave me the best deal I could find.

As I said earlier, Tokico struts come with a lifetime warranty.
