my dream about a clutch assist

ok, i was dreaming last night and something popped into my head, heres what it was. now don't laugh or flame.
anyways, this would make driving a stick shift for the beginner alot easier. ok, how about a modified cruise control motor that has a stop on it that would open the throttle enough to let the person let out the clutch all the way and it wouldn't stall, but instead act like an automatic would, just creep a little. it could be deactivted when the clutch pedal is pressed in.
this could be activated in a couple of ways, automatically, using a relay and the signal from the brake switch. possibly also a tilt switch, so it knows your on a hill. or even better, you could control when you want the feature to activate, via a switch/button
only problem i can see is that it might have to be adaptive, meaning that it might have to adjust the amount of throttle for the clutch, more on hills, less on flat land, etc. obviously it wouldn't be too bad for the clutch because it wouldn't up the throttle when you press in the clutch.
it would help you out alot, because you wouldn't have to work the clutch and gas so much. i know, i know, driving stick comes as second nature very quickly, this would help out someone that is lazy...it would help on hills, and it would help in traffic. also, it would help my mom, because she doesn't know how to drive stick and she will have to move my car sometimes...
    does this idea exist?
we had a 95 ford aspire setup in a crude method like this...but instead we just had the throttle stuck open just enough to keep the car from stalling when we let go of the clutch. let me know what you think. i was going to post this on scionlife.com, but those guys can be real dicks sometimes, it seems alot cooler here

I've taught four people (2 girls, 2 guys) to drive a manual, and none of them took more than a few minutes..granted, that was before my ACT/Fidanza stuff..I don't teach anymore. ;)

From what I can understand from your post, the clutch would be constantly slipping..that's really not good for it.

true you don't want clutch wear to be excessive.
