    It's easy as 1 - 2 - 3!

    http://www.copyright.gov/register/visual.html

I recorded an album in 2001 and took a trip to D.C. with my Dad.
Went to the copyright office and submitted my recordings. It took about 6 months or so before I got the official papers. That was a really nice day in D.C. Nice drive from Baltimore... ah.. memories..

oh... sorry, anyways. Yeah it's pretty easy and cheap. You can copyright mostly anything media, software code, music... They have displays up in the copyright office of like famous computer programs, pictures, and historical copyright stuff... It's pretty cool. I remember one of the old computer programs was an actual punch card type thing. That was when they use preforated paper for computer programs...

Hm...If you really want to do something about it. Copywright your photos... Then you have legal power over them. It's not hard to copywright pictures. You can demand royalties from them, or tell them to stop using the pictures.

Yeah your right. If he wanted to get something out of this, he would have to have the pictures copyrighted. I know he probably didn't expect someone to use the pictures without asking. If you post pictures on the internet without a copyright you might as well expect them to be used. Even if you say they are copyrighted when they are not, that should keep people from using your media.
I guess for most people it wouldn't be worth $30 to copyright an old picture. Maybe if someone were into photography they could send it in with some other photos...

Theres a thread about this in the legal section.....unless they are copyrighted, they arent "stealing" them.
