Projector lens for 01-02 Corollas...

Does anyone make a halogen or zenon projector headlight for 01-02's? I see them for just about every other car on ebay for like $125/pair. If not, do people custom make these, and where can you get the parts or DIY?

it's spelled xenon. and yes you will want to have them custom-made, otherwise you will probably get pulled over. a completely job will run you about $800.

3 times more light... better and more even spread of light... u can light up 4 car lanes with these suckers... lol...

Is that a stock housing with a projector added?

Maybe if I got some projectors I could fit them into my stock housing?

I haven't seen any projectors for an 01-02 on ebay.
Am I missing something?

i'll post some new pics when I get my shrouds installed on my projectors, I did the retro on a 00 rolla.

Cool. It looks like a bit of work. Not impossible, but I want to make sure I have a garage to work in, etc. I probably couldn't afford to pay someone else for the work... I'm just thinking about it, not serious yet. It would probably be better to do real xenon than halo since I would be putting some considerable time into it... Thanks for all the info, and pictures!

lol... i prototype a lot of stuff for our year. they dont make a lot of things for our car... but i got it done... took a long time...

those cheap plastic lens projectors dont do crap.... they are nothing compared to oem projector retrofit....

I'm going to do an HID kit retro for $600. My friend just did his 93 civic and it turned out flawless and he did it in 2 days with Fiberglass, Bondo and a pair of BMW M3 BiXenons.

u have a 02, clearance with those wont cut it... that plus the light output cant compare with these... there are many different types of ballasts and bulbs... just becareful which ones u get...

Actually the M3 setup my friend got is a lot brighter and more focused then your setup. I like his quite a bit better I'll try and get some pics of it in the next few days and post it. So we'll check the fitment but if we can get those in there I defiantly wanna go that route. What is the fitmet problem? Is it how long the lenses are? Because it looks like they will fit in the housing no problem width and height wise.

i believe the m3 uses the bosch projectors. not sure if they are dot or ece code... im pretty sure its ece though. most bmw uses ece code.

the ones i tell ppl to get are dot and ece code spec.

my setup can be brighter, but i like more color in them, so i got the 6k bulbs. if i went with the 4100k bulbs, or lower, it will be much much brighter. my setup only put out about 2700-2900 lumens. while the 4100k put out about 3500 lumens. (stock is about 800? under 1000 lumens) why would you want a more focused setup? good projectors distrubutes the light evenly... if it has "hot spots"... then its not a quality setup.

if you dont want to install shrouds... then u can install larger projectors. i use the 2.5 inch lens type... while there are 3 inch versions... but its a very very tight fit... and you will not have room to adjust the angle of the beam via the screws on the headlight housing. u can use bixenon... but u wont need it once u go hid projectors... plus u have a 01-02 rolla... u will still be able to use ur halogen high beams... eh i dunno... personal pref.

ur friend have a civic... check it out... their headlight housing has much more room then ours.... ive installed a few retros for the civic and they are much easier to install then ours.

btw... if you ever held a bosch projector and compare it to a... valeo... projector... ull know wut im talkin bout... the quality... ie) ferraris uses valeo projectors...

i had a client that i did a retrofit for and he lived in new york... when i sent it to him... everything looked fine on my part. when he got it, he complained left and right... and at the end... when he did finally get me the pictures of how he installed it... he didnt install the headlight housing in correctly... and it was throwing the light beam off... lol... so if im gonna do it... im gonna do it rite... not some half ass job. <br />
