    05 XRS question.

Sorry if this has been asked before, and if it has please link me. Im not to sure what to exactly search for to find it.

But the 05 rolla is rated at 170hp and 127tq and lift is set a lot higher to kick in. Is there any way to use an 03 Matrix or Celica ECU or any mods to change it to 180 and 130 and put the lift at lower state of where 03 matrix is, which is at 6200.

Reason im asking is cause im looking at a 03 matrix xrs, or 05 xrs rolla, or 96 nissan maxima.

It really would defet the purpose...the engine has been tuned to produce more torque at the low end, and the redine is also higher, so really the XRS 2ZZ-GE is the best generation 2ZZ so far. Don't beleave me, test drive both the Celica GTS and XRS and the XRS is actually more drivable at low RPM's than the Celica. Lift kicks in around 6800 RPM on my car (at least it did today).

Thanks, i actually just was reading about that stuff on 9thgencorolla.com. That pretty much sets me to buy an 05 XRS. I was looking at a maxima 96, but i wanna stay with the toyota family, although nissan is good also. So hopefully come march ill be proud owner of an 05 XRS.

Its a good car! One of the best Corolla's ever made, and quickest. Plus its got trusted Toyota parts, and the engine has proven itself over the last 6 years, with many well over 150k on them.

Yeah, i was doing some weight to dyno hp numbers between matrix at 156whp and rolla at 148whp and rolla barley comes better. Im gonna go with rolla probably.
