just splice wires to your corner light. drag wires from your cornerlight down to your foglight if that's what you wanna do. but that way, your foglights wont be too bright. i'd say go to a auto parts store and buy some light wire harness and a switch so u can turn it on whenever.

Hooking Up '01 S Fog lights on CE

I just got a pair of S stock Fog lights for my 01 CE. I know CEs dont bring the wiring harness nor the switch to turn on the fogs but I was thinking on either making a custom swith or just making the fogs light turn on with my corner lights.

My question is what would I need to hook them up... or has someone done this before that can shed some light on this.

Does anyone know how to patch in into the first click on your driving lights (lights up only corners)?

Any other suggestions/ideas are greatly welcome.

I have read all the wiring is in place for them already ??? If you plan on tapping into parking lamp circuit you will need a relay.

ok... i was just under my car trying to find out what im gonna do... it seems CraigW was right my 01 CE does bring the wiring for the fogs... I already have both of the fogs installed... now i only need to find where the wires go and make a switch to turn them on/off...

Can anyone help me? Where can I find the wires to patch into an on/off switch for the fog lights?

I just gave it a little thought and sxlostv1 is right... patching into the corner lights is not that smart and more hassel than just making a switch if I already has stock wiring.

PS: Thnx CW for the help.

c'mon guys i'm sure some of you have done this mod already... i'm so eager to install my new fogs (well i already did.. i just want to make them actually work).
Right now I just need the placement of the wires inside the cars dash... I know in stock S rollas bring the switch in the driving lights' switch stick so they must be somewhere in the area. PLEASE HELP!

Also, have any of you secured your fogs with something else than the flimsy nut it brings? Since they're pretty easy to mount/un-mount they're probably real easy to steal too.

Hey, I have a PIAA fog light wiring kit. I replaced my fog lights, but since I already had the wiring from the old piaa's I never used it. Brand new. I purchased the new lights for $125, and half of it is the excellent wiring kit that they have. If you are interested I can post some pics, and PM me an offer. It also comes with intructions, and you will just have to splice the OEM fog ligth wires to get it to work.

Get a foglight kit from the auto store and run the + wire that normally runs to the aftermarket fogs to the + wire on one of the foglights. I found the correct wire on mine by using a multimeter to find the ground wire.
