turboed acura RSX type S for $13k...think im crazy?

hey whats up guys, im not lying i know a guy who deals with cars from auctions, in other words, salvage titles. i asked him if he could find an RSX for me put a body kit on it, paint it orange, 10,000 dollars. he said that it was going to do it for me as a personal favor, because i am really good friends with his brother. i guess what im asking, is do you think this is a good idea, if you want i can give you his companies website, threw PM only...let me hear your thoughts or opinions. he could find just about any car out there. i remember he had a 350z that he rebuilt and sold for 20,000 dollars...this being when the 350's just started coming out

I didn't like the RSX's interrior :) The car rails around corners though. But has no low end torque to speak of.

dont buy a rsx, buy an rsx motor/tranny, stick that into any 92+ civic or 94+ integra, and you'll be doing 13's easily on a stock motor, turbo that motor inside one of those, who knows how fast you'll be, but there's a video of a k20 eg hatch, STOCK MOTOR, smokin a evo8 doin 22 psi

I like the rsx, in fact I'm thinking about buying one. I'd say go for it.

Swapping engines is a hassle and I like the body style of the rsx more than a civic or integra.

im not planning on selling it, but thats not the only problem with dealing with a salvage title...also i have to clear it to make sure all the parts are from the original car none are stolen, (which takes a couple of months), get it registered in ny, get it inspected...alot of hassle but if everything goes right it should be worth it

on the same note i really do like the body style of the civic...swapping a k20 wouldnt be that hard

nutz to turbocharging. u need to build up the internals so u can rev up to 10k. F1 style yO!!!!

seriously, i think a high revving car would be fun.

If you're going to go through the trouble of swapping engines then go with the k20a from the jdm rsx (integra type-r). That's what some of the people with rsx's are putting in their cars so could possibly be even better in a civic.

if you buy a salvage car and get sick of it, jump onto honda-tech.com and list it there, those kids LOOOOOOOOOOOVE salvage cars lol

swapping a k20 into any 1992+ civic and 1994+ integra is like screwing in a light bulb, hasport already makes mounting kits for them, so everything drops RIGHT in, pick up a k20 from www.hmotorsonline.com and a 92+ civic or 94+ integra, and you got a mad sleeper right there

k20 into a civic, low to mid 13's instantly, maybe even faster if you're a good driver
turbo the k20 inside those cars, who knows, maybe even 11's on a streetable civic with a lot more potential to go

plus the good thing about the k20, it's smaller than the B series motors, which means more space to work on
