    Broke 100,000 miles yesterday

Yep, my 2003 corolla now has over 100k miles on it. Its an automatic and been turbocharged for 40k+ miles now with no breakdowns. Nothing has ever broken thats been toyotas fault (I break shit all the time :)) My downpipe has been snapped and rewelded 4 times, each time with more flexpipe than the last until finally we replaced it with a completely flexible pipe from an aston martin. A nut rubbed on a power steering line and caused it to burst, turbo came unbolted form the downpipe 2 times. Belt started squeaking around 85k. On my 5th set of tires and 3rd set of rims. Tranny fluid has been replaced once and oil changed every 5000 miles with mobil 1 15W-50. I had the vacume lines messed up for about 15k miles and was buring 1 quart of oil every 3 days. once i even burned every drop of oil out of the engine until the oil light came on and had to have a buddy bring me oil :) Got a coolant leak when my mechanic put on the water pump and didnt seal it properly...and i think thats pretty much it for everything thats broke. Car runs better than the day i got it (naturally). Idle is a bit rough but theres no telling if thats cuz of the 2ZZ injectors, age, turbo, or a combination of everything. :)

well, i figure new motors are only $500 so its all good. Yeah, the oil thing...that sucked, but i cought it in time i guess...mobil 1 is serious shit :)

i drive to school 4 times a week (56 miles each way) and i drive to work 5 times a week (20 miles each way), i drive to see my gf at least 2x a week (50 miles each way), and i use my car on my job and drive on average 45 miles a day at work (@40.5 cents a mile :)) plus i drive to gainvsille about once every month (250 miles each way). i spend on average about 150 miles a day...figure 2-3 hours a day in my car. so i think spending money on my car is completely justifiable. I keep blankets in there so i sleep in it sometimes. and always a change of clothes....i live in my car.

    BTW: i spend $445 a month in gas (93 oct @$2.00 a gallon)

I think overall the relibality of toyota is just simply incredible.

I've put too much effort into my rolla to ever get rid of it. I'm going to be retired and 65 driving around in my $100k Corolla and people are going to be like "Wow look at the hod rod classic" and I'll be like JEAH!. And they will be like "I heard he only has DSL speed internet in his car, Isn't that pathetic." and I'll be like "Vintage Baby". and shizzle. Fuck I'm tired and just typing what comes into my tired head.

    Oh yeah. W0000000000000T!

Congratulations Deadnick! You should be proud!
My dad owned a 1981 toyota pickup. Not sure of the model.
He had it for 15 years, put over 300k miles on it! The body was all rusted and falling apart. He had to weld the bed back together at one point. I remember him pulling the stick shift out and having to re-insert it to shift gears... hahah. That could be used as a theft deterrent, if the rusted body wasn't already!
Original engine, the only thing replaced were wear parts.
He sold it to someone, still running!

    I just hit 40,500 mi.
Got the car in August... so thats 5 months, started off with 31k.

    9,500 mi in 5 months.

We drive about 15 miles to work everyday, and back...
North Pole is a small town, righ outside of Fairbanks. There's just a grocery store, blockbuster, and fast food joints out here. So anytime we want to buy something we usually "go to town". It's kind of a pain. I would rather live IN Fairbanks, so we wouldn't have to drive so damn much. It's ok though... The highway drive gives me and my girl some time to talk... or argue! :p
