Luckily, you don't have to mount the tire to the wheel - it is a special one-piece wheel/tire combination - buy it as is. So you will be stuck with whatever style of wheels are cranked out for those.

michelin has created the better "no-air" tire that uses rubber spokes to cushion and support... They say not only would it eliminate blowouts, but it'll give up to 5x better lateral support for better handling

there is a better tire comming out that uses air though. Its thicker, stronger, and lighter. You can drill a hole in this tire and not feel anything till 30mph.

Sounds like a cool idea. It doesn't seem like a new idea though. I used to build battlebots and everyone would either have all rubber tires or fill pneumatic tires with foam so a puncture wouldnt keep the robot from moving.

Not the same. They are saying this will still have the give like a tire filled with air. A current tire is really part of your suspension. That's why when you go with lower profile tires the ride gets stiffer, because there is not as much sidewall to allow flex.

Do you know how rough a car would ride with solid tires. Let alone a sporty car with stiff suspension and solid tires

it says u could re-tread the tires. does this mean u can go from an all season tread to an all summer tread at will?
