strange foreign corolla

on a recent trip to the dominican republic i saw a few weird corollas there was the corolla 1.6 gli looked like the 03 with a funky melon green paintjob and i think the other one was the corolla s.l limited edition that one was pretty weird the grill had some strange symbol NOT the "t" but it was branded as a toyota in the trunk badging, well neway ne1 have info on these?

Im currently in D.R. those corollas are a dime a dozen, it does look like a 03+ (kinda) but the funny thing is they've been out I think since 01-02, there's another weird version corolla (different from what bulletproof describes) not available in the US... i'll get some pics from both for you guys as soon as I spot one.

no actually the grill loooked like the u.s grill except it was all chrome (93-97) and the emblem looked like a backwards letter "c" with three x's on top of it, thats the s.l limited edition on the 1.6 gli it looked preety much identical to the us rolla(03+) but they had some funky melon colored paint and i think the taillights were different

are these european maybe?

Heres the weird Corolla with the weird logo, this one is 1.6L 4cyl but it also comes in a Diesel flavor. I think its JDM, or atleast people here say its the JAP version of the Corolla.

Looks like they would... atleast they look kinda the same, haven't actuallly tried looking for those clear cornes for my 01... i already got clears off ebay.

im dominican i was born in brooklyn ny but i lived there for a couple years judging by the pics im guessing u live in santo domingo i lived in san cristobal,the best part about it is the clubs hehe.... but neway i saw a couple of rollas over there i saw a black 01 with exhaust and i think rims and a red 93+ with a kit wuz that u?

nah... I have a silver 01. my mods (for now) are: limmo black tint, arospeed muffler, clear corners... thats pretty much it for exterior.
