I used velcro and it works totally fine. Even the weak shit, it holds down. Mine hasnt slid around forever and I drive crazy, too.

    securing subwoofer in the trunk

What's the best way to keep a subwoofer box from sliding and rolling around in the trunk. Right now, mine isn't secured and it just slides around everywhere. How might I go about securing it down??

I've tried all three, L brackets, velcro, and now I have four long as bolts thats goes from my sub box, false mdf floor and through the car's trunk floor. If you don't need to constantly take out your subs out then velcro is the best and convenient way. L brakets depends on how you mount them at looks cheap. Mounting the with bolts from the inside of the box through the floor wich I have is the best way IMO cause it takes longer for theives to take it out and its gauranteed to not move around when cornering on really fast speeds.

Wait... It seems like you're suggesting for us to drill a hole in the box. That can't be what you mean.

yup thats what I'm sayin. I did that to my box cause the velcro didn't hold well enough for my style of driving and my 2nd system setup got stolen cause velcro was holding it in place. I wanted my box to stay a fix and hard to take out, so yes I drilled through the floor and the inside of the box. I suggest this if you don't need to be moving or taking out the box constantly. Velcro is the way to go if you need it moved or taken away constantly.

Just be careful as to what you are drilling into. There is "stuff" under the trunk.

L-brackets would be fine if you did them from behind so they wouldn't be seen. I used screws to hold my sub box down but its a little different since its in the spare tire compartment.

    industrial strength snaps.

trust me, they work. you put a small plate on the back side of the trunk plastic piece, and the snap on the other, then of course screw the other half of the snap to the bottom of the box.

it snaps down HARD and you cannot see how it's mounted.

Wow, what kinda boxes do you guys have and what kinda driving do you guys do to make them move around like that. I have two 12's in a large box in my trunk and I've never had it slide around at all.

well my box and my floor is covered with leather so doesn't matter how I drive it moves around. I just don't want to get my system stolen again so I bolted it down instead of velcro which I used when the other system got stolen.

There is nothing but the spare tire compartment under 93-97. Gas tank is under the rear seat.
