airbags are definely show, not something that you'd like to drive daily in. As for teins, street/race performance all in one adjustable package. I use to have tein ss on my civic, cost alot but worth every penny

True, I heard a guy w/ a bagged S10 here in Tulsa and had it on his S10 for close to a year when out of nowhere, one of the front bags just blew out leaving him slammed on one of the front sides.....probably dont wanna put it on a daily driver....

But can I do the same thing with Tein combo like airbag?? When I drive, I raise the height; when I park, I can drop it.

yeah, but with coilovers u have to get outta the car, lift it, adjust your height, then go get an alignment, with airbags u just press a switch

i thought they hav those which u can adjust while u are actually in the car w/o jacking or anything just press a switch and the coilover will lower or raise... but i think they are expensive though... http://www.tein.com/edfc.html

Yea, thats what i was talking about. Tein SS Coilover + EDFC combo. All you gotta do is a flip of switch.

But i dunno. Do you still need an alignment everytime you switch it?? Cuz you are dropping it just for a while and you are switching it bach to normal for driving.

The tein EDFC can only adjust the dampening force of the suspension with the push of a button and not raise or lower it. Still have to manually raise it or lower manually.

Ive seen these before on some car show on tv....it said that you can adjust how stiff your suspension is or you can have it automatically adjust itself to give you the smoothest ride possible....i dont think it will raise or lower or fix alignment with a car....

Okay guys, you have no idea what you're talking about. Coilovers and airbags aren't even close to the same thing.

With airbags, they replace your springs and shocks. It's got a compressor that sends compressed air to the airbags to raise or lower the car. Depending on the strength of the compressor, you can raise or lower the car almost as fast as a car with hydraulics. From inside the car, you can control the compressor with some sort of electronic device.

The Tein SS's work totally different. They have threads on the shock bodies to raise or lower the car. You can't adjust the ride height with the EDFC. You have to pull the wheels off and adjust it manual with a ride height tool. The EDFC is for the dampening. From inside the car, you can adjust the strenght of the shocks compression and rebound. For the SS kit, it's adjust both compression and rebound together, some kits can adjust them individually.

Airbags adjust the height of the car and are mostly for show. With coilovers the height can be adjusted, but you have to do it manually. Coilovers are also geared more towards racing than show. The EDFC simply lets you adjust the damping force of your coilovers from inside the car, not the ride height.

Don't know if automatic height adjustable coilovers exist though.

Look into hydraulics if you want to raise and lower your car at the touch of a button.
