yah, i sure as hell dont, and as for the aftermarket parts i can take off, i am. they wanna seal the deal today...im waiting for a phonecall back upon credit approval, and i have to go thru them if i want them to pay off my car.

ive already got the strobs and siren taken out, next is just the neons. im gunna leave the TRD springs on there, as i dont have the time to take them off.

    ill see how it goes

    16k fully loaded XRS!!

So, i went to the dealership this morning to test drive an XRS cz i was bored. well, i really love the thing. and to find more to my luck. the car has been sitting in the lot for 2 months now and they really want to get rid of it.

i still owe about 6k on my 98 with some body damage and all the paint ive done inside of it, and they said they would pay off the loan, so its even steven.

They ran some numbers and said depending on a co-signers credit (i dont have any, since the car is in my MOMS name) i could get it for 350+ a month on a 4 month term. i think they said, or on a 5 month, lower.

they didnt put in a down payment as well, so. should i go for it or not?

its got power everything, no sunroof though.

Well, that's a great deal. I got my 05 Corolla S for 15.5k. If it was back then, I would have jumped on it immediately. If you got the money then go for it.

That is a good deal - but only if you want to tie yourself into another $16K + balance of old car payments. Think of it this way - you could get a lightly used 2003+ corolla and spend the remainder on mods. New car warranty and new car smell are nice, but IMO, that money would be better served by putting it toward college, a career, or a house.

no old car payments, they are gunna call it even steven on the old car, so it wont count as a trade in nor will it be tacked on to my payments.

and i want the 2zz engine!!!

What do you mean? Do you mean 4 year, or 5 year loan?

16k at 8% APR with no down payment puts you at 390 a month for 48 month (4 year loan)
16K at 8% APR with no down payment puts you at 324 a month for 60 month (5 year loan).

And you should also look into what credit agency they are going through....you may be able to get it cheaper through your parents bank...and definately if they are part of a credit union.

sorry, replace month with year, im just so excited im babbling. and we have thought about the credit union. they can automatically deduct everything from my checkings so i dont have to worry about it. and i think it was a 5 year term.

Well, If I were you, the difference between 60 and 48 month isnt too much, depending on what APR rate you get....so I would personally go with the 48 month loan if you can afford it. Youll be happy you did.

i would take off all aftermarket parts and put oem parts back on- unless thats ok w/ the dealer- some dealers will deduct the market value correct?

and downpayment will not make a big differnce unless its prob 2500+, but as you know- not too many people have that layin around...

dont worry skyace- its better to stay out of debt whenever you get the opportunity; there will always be deals down the road; whats important now is to build good credit and stick with your current car-

I bought my XRS in October. Traded in my 1993 Celica GTS for almost nothing. I put $10000 CAN down on the XRS, and have a 60 month term at 5.6% so my monthly payments are about $430. It was originally $380, but I added insurance on the loan, plus I got ECP, and we have 15% tax here. So the car cost $24,000 base, so I started with $14,000 loan (24,000-10,000) plus all the addons.

I looked at a Celica GT, but they were a few grand more, plus insurance on it was going to be a bitch for me (23 years old).
