I've been trying to convince my sister to get a lip or body kit for her 3 and so far I've been some what successful but I still need to work her mind a little more hehehe... she has the 2.3 S and it's the sedan it's not like this one in the pics

dont forget the fact that its a reskinned ford focus....

well man it might look like a Focus but I love driving my sister's Mazda 3, it's fast and it beats new and older Si's lol. The car is got power and presence, I just love it.

um...it doesn't just look like a focus. it shares everything but the sheetmetal with a focus.

just like the matrix/vibe.

i like my sisters mazda 3, except the back dash area...maybe it's just hers, but it's just rigid black ugly plastic

shows how much i know... in that case, i'm no fan of it. i never really thought of how similar it was to the focus... hmmph

well, the platform sharing started in I THINK 2004...but i can't be certain. before that, they were separate entities.

yea I think it was 04' when they started sharing plataforms but the car looks really nice still I dk I still like to cruise around in it

It must be platforms and not engines right? The Mazda3 has some serious power that I wasn't aware you could get in the focus, even the SVT model.

yea it's only platforms because the Focus ain't got shit on the 3 man.... I smoked a lot of the new and old Civic Si's with this car and even though it shares the whole thing I love it, it takes off the line really good and it has some pretty nice top speed too. People that I race with this car give me props for looks and performance (Even though the car is stock) and shit I love it lol

true. Ford still uses Ford motors in the Focus...they're not like the MX6/Probe venture back in the 90s.

For Probe sucks lol...hell FORD sucks period lol

the 24v probe would whup your car, stock for stock.

not a fan of the probe at all, but we all must remember how god awful slow corolla's are... (my civic is even slower LOL)

it might whoop it straight out no joke but mine will still last longer lol

i have a friend who's still driving his around at over 200k miles on the clock, with nothing but basic maintenance. it's not really all the car...it's the owner. domestics CAN outlast japanese cars...if they're treated right.

BUT most aren't lol... I think that the whole issue of "long lasting motors" is that people are not informed well enough when it comes to this kinda stuff u kno... a simple oil change can make ur car lasts longer than u'll ever know but they don't know lol

yea I don't like them either if I ever have to own one as a daily driver as long as it gets me around I'm good
