    Whats a Good Tire?

Im going to be buying Rims at the end of next month and was wondering....what are good tires? The rims Im ordering come with Wanli S-1088 Z-Rated Tires. I never heard of them before so does anyone know if there good? The other questions is What would be a perfered Tire? because i can choose another type of tire but I have to pay extra. If the tires are pretty good thats great no extra money to lay down. If there is a better tire please tell me.

My other question is, Is this the right tire size for a 2003 Corolla?
They put down 2 different sizes. which one is more correct?

    205/40/ZR17 215/45/ZR17

This is the site im going to be ordering from.

    I've never heard of Wanli tires..sorry :(

It says 'add $100' for Falken Ziex 512s -- they're not the greatest tire ever, though I am happy with mine. Considering the no-tire option is only $200 less, that's $50/tire for 17s -- which is either pathetic tires or an excellent deal.

You may want to check out www.tirerack.com and see what they have..

this is what tire rack says:

We have broken down tires into several catagories and here is a short list of what I have experienced in our testing. Now remember, we do not have every single tire line in the world so, if your particular favorite is not in this list it is probably because we haven't tested it. Also, this is my take on the testing that I have completed here at The Tire Rack on our test track.
    Maximum Performance:
These are the absolute best performing tires on the market. Great steering response and wet/dry traction (not for use inthe snow!!!) which is at home on the track.

    1.)Pilot Sport PS2
    2.)Eagle F1 GS-D3
    3.)S-03 Pole Position
    4.)Ecsta MX
    5.)Pilot Sport
    6.)P-Zero Nero

There is 1 glaring omission in this list. It is the BFG G-Force T/A KD. The reason for this tire not being on the list is because of its lack of versatility. It is the best performing tire in the dry but, is almost scary in the wet.

    Ultra High Performance:
A step down form the Max tires but, still exceptional performance which fits most application for a street tire that can be driven very aggressivley.

    1.) Firehawk SZ50 EP
    2.) Potenza RE750's
    3.) G-Force KDW
    4.) Sport 8000

    Ultra High Performance All Season:
Performance tires which are capable of going through the snow.

    1.) Sport 5000
    2.) Michelin Pilot Sport A/S
    3.) P-Zero Nero M&S
4.) AVS DB S2 (quietest tire I have ever driven)
    5.) Continental Extreme Contact
    6.) BFG G-Force KDWS
    7.) HTR+

    Budget Performance Tires:
Summer performance with a cost effective tire when your budget is a concern. (based on performance not cost)

    1.) Yokohama AVS ES100
    2.) Fuzion ZRi
    3.) Sumitomo HTR Z II
    4.) Kumho Ecsta Supra 712
    5.) Sumitomo HTR Z
    6.) Dunlop SP Sport FM901

Best tired I've ever had on my Corolla by far is the "Toyo Proxy 4"'s. I used to have Yokahama Paradas and when it was wet out it was a death sentence :)
