    Obcon?

hey guys, Im going to be installing a new sound system in my car, I got a pretty good deal from this one guy for a 1000watt amp, 2-12" subs and a set of tweeters. $500 out the door. the only thing that holds me back is the fact that the brand of the stuff is Obcon. Ive heard they make awesome sub enclosures, but i havnt really heard anything about the speakers and shit.

I'm assuming the amp is 1000w peak? You should have done more research before throwing down cash. See what you can find on Google.

Personally, I only stick with name brands for audio equipment, cause I found the low end stuff is either really over rated or (in the case of speakers) barely sound better than stock on most cars... do some research on anything before you buy (be it audio or anything else) because $500 is still a big enough chunk of change... but who knows, maybe it will sound great too, make sure you let us know.

both oppinions i respect as i feel the same way. however, a truely legit warranty and killer christmas deal overruled all. I went to audio express, and they had a deal on a rockford fosgate 600watt amp+2-12" RF punch subs and the box for 450. Got the wire kit for 50, and installed another set of kenwood speakers for my front w/built in tweeters. I moved my original front kenwoods into my rear set, and wired my 250watt kenwood amp to my front speakers and the new RF amp to my subs. Ill tell you what, it sounds bitchin! it ran me 750 to all of it, but honestly, worth every damn penny. will post pics on my cardomain once things look halfway decent in my car. thanks for the help guys.
