    can anyone tell me how to remove that black plastic strip from the side of my 03 or where I can take my car to have it removed?

    If you take the plastic molding off of the inside of the door, there should be some plastic things holding it on... there will probably be holes in the door after you remove it so unless you have planned for that then I'd leave them on.

    i thought all corolla sidemoulding was held on with glue only?

    just heat it(a hairdryer will work...just don't concentrate the heat in any one spot, it'll fuck your paint), and peel it off with fishing line under the moulding.

    Are you sure? My friend said he did it and it was pinned in? Not 100% sure, im going off what I heard and not what i've actually seen... have you seen the newer body styles?

    yeah 03 mouldings have tape only. i used those plastic line for weed whacker or weed eater to remove the mouldings. i slide the liine in-between the tape and moulding and start moving in back n forth. took me less than five mins. to remove each strip. be careful coz those plastic lines can scratch your paint. i removed the tape by hand and waxed the surface.

    whatever tape-glue left on the body, i rubbed it off by hand. any stubborn glue left on there, i used wax and kept rubbing until it came off. u can try to heat it up with hair dryer until it gets soft then rub it off with your hands - be careful coz it's gonna be hot!
