just get the Pioneer unit with the sliding screen. it'll take up no more space than your head unit, it plays CDs/DVDs, and it's a GPS system.

it's also a good deal for all that.

Yeah, what faln said. It's much easier to just get a sliding screen than to relocate the controls.

this is for those of you with 98-02 rollas i was wondering how difficult it is to move the a/c controls and vents, hazards etc down to where the storage compartment is right in front of the shift knob, and putting a tv screen in there instead

They won't have a release date until January. It's probably going to have a $2000 price tag on it.

for the temperature issue - just insulate the area and you should be fine.

for the shifter - i had a double din head unit in that location in my 94, and it was alright...a little clumsy at times, but liveable. were i to do it again i wouldn't put another head unit down there, though.

no more vents? does it get hot? and how difficult was it 2 do
