How many of you have seen the "Counterfeit Mini" commercials.....they play over here ever now and then...the commercials are pretty damn funny but just when you're about to think the whole thing was a big joke, they put their website up and give a 1-800 number for you to call so you can order a video about it....heres the website but the commercial is much more funny....

yea its crazy but i think if they wanted to come across as jokin around, the site would end in .com but this site ends in .org so i dunno man...

thats weird... i thought it was all a joke but they're actually for real... i dont think people are retarded enough not to know how a real mini looks like...

thats funny... and stupid at the same time... and just plain... the more i think about it, the more i think those people are retarded

Ya I saw this on tv and i was trying to figure out if they were serious. I think its just confusing not necessarily good advertising.

and they are making a joke about people copying the mini (showing interest)..... and in the process getting you to go more in depth in the world of mini cooper by visiting the site and getting a laugh

Man, i wish they had the commercial on the site....but the pictures on here are pretty funny especially the ones under Detecting a fake....like the beer can exhaust and the duct tape racing stripes....that should be on another site for "counterfeit ricer"....hehe

I know that this has nothing to do with the topic but I thought I'd bring it up haha yea have u guys seen the Dairy Queen commercial where the dad tells the kid that to make the last basket and that they'd go to Dairy Queen and after like 20 attempts and no basket the dad gets the hoop down and just holds it like 2 ft from the kid and the kid just nails him in the nose lol that is the coolest recent commercial so far

it's actually a good way to do it too..... kinda like the toyota truck commercials where they make up some huge problem that the truck fixes (lack of tie downs and the people's turkey falls out the back...... there was also the one about dying truck beds in a field or something).....

that commercial is particularly well because much like this thread implies, different people will read it differently.... ie, some will find it funny, some will think it's serious, etc.... however they are able to put the brand name out tons of times without actually selling you the product......

I like the commercial where the guy suffers from some problem and shit and that his neighbor talks to him about getting a Tacoma with a TRD package and got cured lol.... I wouldn't mind havin one of those either

where he lacks adrenaline... hahaha i love when he stops to tie his shoe and the dog lunges at him and he doesnt even flinch

speaking of toyota.....anyone not like most of the Scion Commercials.
