    Need recommendation

Ok so i got my TRD muffler installed, the buttom part of the tip scrapes on certain curbs and bumps. So i figured i'd get new suspension cause i have 42,000 miles on the car and the area i live in has alot of bumps, pot holes and such. Plus i drive around 4 or 5 people often. So i figured my suspension is warn out.

What do u guys recommend i do? I wanna get a strut bar for my 2000 corolla. I don't want my car lowered because it already scrapes and plus the tires hit the inside of the wells with my fenders rolled...

What kind of springs do u guys recommend and should i get new struts too?
I'm thinking of making my rear just a tad stiffer then my front, but i need recommendtions, so anything is welcome!

If you want to stay stock height, I believe you can order springs from Japan that are stock but stiffer. If you want performance and can sacrifice ride quality, get a good set of coilovers. I used to scrape all the time with my TRD, but I have coilovers with the front lower than the rear.

If you don't drop it too much (less than an inch), you might be able to get away with stock struts, but since yours are worn out, you're going to want to replace them as well.

changing struts will also make the ride stiffer, but it will also make the ride quality better and last longer compared to stock struts if you get aftermarket springs or coils. If you want it not to be low I suggest the same as vamp with a good brand of coilovers or some eibach springs that only drop it like an 1". By the way your bottoming out and scraping it sounds like your rear springs are sagging. Thats what happened to my car before I upgraded my suspension.

I think i am bottoming out. But my other problem is that my exhaust tip scrapes sometimes on my trd muffler. So what i'm guessing is, i should get new struts and that should fix my problems of bottoming out. I can also get new struts and new springs?

    What kind of struts should?

If i get coil overs i can keep my stock hight apperently cause they are adjustable that should fix my problem too? But if i get coil overs then i won't need struts? I'm so confused!

With coilovers you still need struts, the coilovers basically replace the spring part of your suspension setup with a "spring" that is adjustable for height, you still need the struts.

Unless you get a coilover set that comes with struts in them (like a damper set from JIC or something, but $$$)

Most people with coilovers seems to go with Ground Control coilovers and Tokico or KYB struts. I personally have some lowering springs (Tein H-Tech) and struts (Tokico HP) on order. The general consensus seems to be that the Tokico struts are more performance oriented, whereas the KYB struts will give you a smoother ride.
