Opinion on MTEC bulbs?

I see alot of them on eBay, and from Google, many forums say the quality is pretty good. Anyone here have them? Or had them? Also, I looked up 9006 MTEC, and it says 55w, but for 9005, they were 65w. Is stock 9005 highbeams 65w? Thanks for the help

Well, I just installed mine today. I bought the 9006 Hyperwhite ones. From my dark garage, light output seems to be same as stock, only whiter. The box and seller says it consumes 55w at 12v but produces 100w...I don't see any difference in light out put though...weird.

Me and FastRolla96 both have Nokya headlights and they are the nicest blue-ish headlights ive ever seen. If your headlight lens is clear, it looks like you have HIDs or something cuz the output is excellent and the color is similar to that of HIDs too...when i switched from my sylvania silverstars to these nokya's, I could see a huge difference. It made the sylvanias look yellow...hehe.....the only bad thing about them is that they cost $40 but id say they're worth the money....plus they last for quite a long time...I remember i saw FastRolla's car on the otherside of an intersection n it looked like a 240sx w/ HIDs.....you should definately look into these....

After driving with my stock wattage MTECs, I have to say, the white is not "really" white. It looks yellowish white, which is expected I guess. The light output seems to be same as stock, just whiter. O well, they were cheap, I can't complain.

Higher wattage = more light yes, but you run the risk of buring out your harness, which is $$$ to replace. If you run stock wattage, no worries then. Or if you want more light, you can do a 9005>9006 conversion, 9005 is 10w more, and offers a lil more light with smaller risk of buring out the harness.
