    the remote wire needs a 12v source for the amp to come on. just be careful and not make it constant, because your amp will drain your battery. Usually aftermarket headunits come with remote wire hook ups. Check that out, and see what happens

    does the remote wire on an amp have to be plugged anywhere just for the amp to turn on...lemme know

    ok, so if i run a wire to the fuse box and plug it into the radio fuse it should work....what gauge wire should i use...would one side of regular speaker wire work?...im pretty sure my headunit dosn't have a remote spot on it but i wont no for certain till after christmas when i install my headunit(its a christmas presant)
