    How do I open this?

I've been trying to open the driver window control thing to change the LED in it. Here is what I'm talking about_: [IMG]
I opened the screws I circle but it doesn't come off. The window lock button keeps me from taking the circuit board part off. Wanted to see if anyone took it apart before I pull on things and break it.
This is in a 2001S but I'm sure its pretty much the same for any 98-02's.

In the service manual it said how to test LED and said if defective to replace the entire assembly.

That does not mean it cannot be done though.

I have had mine out and looked at it a few times but dont have the nerve to tear into it. I want to add an LED to the top area to light all the switches not just the drivers.

Did you try prying it off the housing if it doesn't come off leave it the way it is now or you'll be sorryyyy.

The LED in it works fine I just want to change from green to red to match everything else I changed. I am definatly not ripping it apart though so if no one has done it I'll just leave it. Buying any of these things from the factory cost like a billion dollars

it looks like rivets... you could always pry it off and use an epoxy to re-attach it... i know i would...

maybe go to a junkyard first to see if you can pick up a spare for cheap, and then practice on the spare one...

if they put it together you should be able to take it apart... i like the idea of getting a spare from somewhere and testing it... even one that the lights are out in that noone would want.
