    2003+ stock suspension...opinions...

Granted I have 195/60/15 tires on 15x7.0 rims, but I really think the stock suspension on my 03 is solid and pretty sporty. Just curious what you all think. I think about lowering it, but then I think I like the suspension as is.

    IMO...

It sucks a monkey dick because it has a solid rear axle.

BUT yes, it is kinda sporty feeling just driving around (my brother has a 2003 CE)

Have you ever seen a 03+ with a car full of people? It looks like you dropped it 4 inches. Thats exactly why I can never travel with more than one passenger or I'll be scrapin everthing and that was on the S. You gotta replace the whole Sus Kit.

I have no idea why Toyota is putting solid rears in the new models. I thought that was ancient and for those old domestic trucks. Then again, Toyota is cheap and its all about costs. *sigh*

If you look at your front suspension, there is no bar or axle connecting the 2 wheels. For the newer Corollas, the back is connected hence the solid rear axle. It's old technology which is was really common for old domestic cars and most trucks. I thought the solid rear axle would phase out but apparently Toyota went cheap. My car has a fully independent suspension and that helps with handling by allowing the shock or strut to move up and down freely without any influence from a axle.
