    great find!!

    but how much power will they produce and when they say high or low comp. what do they mean? do they have multiple comp. kits available?

    looks like it could be a good investment down the road......

    maybe fro my project 1zz!!!!

    What's the difference between regular pistons and big bore? I saw a kit online somewhere where you can re-bore the engine to a 2.0 Liter...Is that what they are for or no?

    Regular == 1.8 liters

    Big bore == 1.93 liters

    You probably saw the kit on the same site that offers these engines.

    oh no, I know corolla is reliable, but let's face it.. 30-40k miles/year, it'll start to loss of performance at some point. I'm hoping to get a job closer so I'm not putting so many miles on my car (and the paint isn't getting wrecked from pebbles shooting at 80mph on the highway)

    Thats really not that bad since it includes the installs and machining for the bore. Plus if you give them your engine its a grand off.

    Hmm... well, I do have 76k miles on my 02 already. If I intend on keeping it a while I may do that some day to extend the life. still contemplating though because the wife wants a Scion TC, but one of us needs a truck for camping/hauling home improvement stuff in. I was considering getting a scion Xb someday (she drives a rav4 now).

    Don't count on your Corolla dying to get a new car..not anytime soon, anyway -- I have over 155k on mine, and it's still running strong.. :p

    I love monkeywrenchracing... they are doing so much for our cars. A full built race motor, you cant beat it.

    Mine died with onley 68k on it 2 rods started to knock in it. I wish I knew they sold complete engines . I bought all my parts from them and had the same thing done to mine but mine cost me 8k to do mine. The bad thing is the 01 1zz does have 125hp but thats not to the wheels u have to take away 15-17 % off of that if you have an auto.
