    He guys, newbie question

Hey guys sorry for the dumb question but my girlfriend and I just bought a 05 rolla s for her to drive. It seems to be a prety good car but I have a couple of questions. First it seems like sometime it takes a few seconds for it to start when cranking it up. It always starts, just seems like it takes more time to start than most cars I've had. Got any ideas?
Next it just got 5k miles on it and the maint required light came on. I'm assuming its a reminder light for the oil change. I have already changed it is there any way to get the light off if it is for the oil change or should I take it back to the dealer.
Last is really a basic question. I drive an Evo and well she gets to drive it once anda great while. The problem is that when she gets back in her rolla she thinks its slow and doggy. I'm sure not gonna spend the money to make it as fast as my car but I'm thinking of doing an intake and exhaust. I've looked around and cant find anything for the 05. Is anyone got anything out for the 05 yet. Thanks for the help in advance.

Only three or four seconds. I know intake and exhaust wont make up for it but thats about all I'm willing to spend money for as its really not my car. Just really looking to see if they are out for 05's yet. Thanks

Thanks fishexpo101! Anyone else know about the starting problem. Or should I just take it to the dealer? Any other 05 have this trouble?

As for the power issue -- tell her to buy a supercharger for 1800 bucks. =)

To reset your oil maintenance light:

Make sure that the odometer is showing in the display, not trip mode.
    - Turn vehicle off.
    - Press and hold the button/stalk that cycles the odometer/trip modes.
    - Turn ignition to the on position.
    - Continue holding the button for several seconds.
    - Light should reset itself.

Good to go for another 5K miles.

the starting problem would be....your fuel pump 05's have a problem with them, i know i replaced 3 so far, and dont worry about the light its not saying anything is wrong its just a "reminder light" if you change your oil every 3k then the toyota dealership should reset it

Thanks guys I know the light is crap but I didnt know how to turn it off without going to the dealer. Now I do, and I reset it tonight. I think I'll look into getting them to replace the fuel pump if its a common problem. Thanks again for everyone's input.

wtg? 05 has an oil change reminder light? lol me thinks that's dumb. but i guess it's good for some absent minded people. I am very religious about keeping it every 3K, but that's just me I guess.

mine takes some time to start too....nothing HUGELY long or anything, but u can tell its longer than most cars that start right up. about the mods, nothing is out for intake yet...dont even try. i bought an aem intake and it didnt fit and i tried EVERYTHING, just dont even bother with it. the only thing thatll add significant power is the supercharger...but where do you get it for 1800 bucks?!!?!? and the light came on @ 5000 miles for ur 5k maint (rotate tires, oil, etc.) and it will come on every 3k too.

My 05 does the same thing. It has maybe an extra click or two before it starts up. I figure it's nothing major, but I'll bring it up if I need to bring my car to the dealership again. The car manual tells you how to reset the engine check light.

Hm... my car is around 600 miles over 3k right now, no light is on for me. I'm gonna go get my oil changed next week anyways.
