you have to go to toyota to do oil changes because they use a reusable oil filter. I take it this is still going to be FWD? and if so, think its posible to take that motor and swap it into something like say.... a Tc or something? :) heheh just thinking Toyota G35

very high-tech. some good ideas went into the design of that engine. too bad the avalon will still be boring and ugly.

spy shots and magazine said its should debut at Tokyo Auto Show 2005... like killer said it should be a V8 turbo or V10 like some magazine stated w/ 500hp on a carbon fiber chassis

They should also make a performance version of the Camry (or redo the SE) with that engine, and a 5 speed! Damn that would be fun.

what they should do w/ the SE is change it to Camry XRS since XRS is Toyota's line-up sporty cars like Dodge's SRT, Ford's SVT, BMW "M," etc....

for the camry i think they should slap on the 3.5L engine 5 spd auto or 6 speed manual, 18" rims, unique grill, bumper or lip, side skirt, plus dual exhaust w/ a sporty exhaust note, increase stiffer shock and spring combination compare to the SE that lowers the camry 1", toyota sporty 3 spoke steering wheel found in the corolla xrs, matrix xrs and the celica...

XRS isn't the Toyota sporty line. If that were the case, the Celica would've been called Celica XRS. Or better yet, the Tacoma X-Runner would've been Tacoma XRS.

IMO, I wouldn't want the Camry to come with a 3.5L. Sure it would be nice for the Camry to have some power, but can you imagine the torque-steer you're going to be dealing with. Look at the Altima and the Maxima for example.

as for body kits/wheels, you guys ever look into toyota's catalog for customizing their cars with toyota accessories? They have a very very nice lip kit for the Camry and nice wheels too, i say put that lip kit/wheels on the camry se, with the new v6 and a manual (5 or 6 speed), and you have a damn quick car, that looks nice, is extremely comfortable and reliable...

toyota will not change the camry at all its one of its biggest sellers and to beef it up they will loose a lot of older age buyers

280hp fwd.....not too good in my opinion.

if they used the GS300 drivetrain that would be good and it would give the maxima a run for its money.

I think toyota should make turbo corolla 2door or 4door with that much horsepower in the future.
